Broken Brinlee!
Oh wow! A lot has been going on here! But the main thing that has kept me busy, besides Christmas is this little fart! Poor Brinlee was playing out at recess and a boy jumped off the monkey bars and landed on her. That was THE worst phone call to get from the school. We rushed to the doctors where they confirmed it was indeed broken and that he thought it needed a pin to hold it. It was a spiral fracture in her right tibia. I did freak out a little at that point....My mom and dad came with me to the orthopedic where he decided to just cast it. She lucked out! So she will be in a cast for a LONG time with absolutely NO weight bearing. She is in a wheelchair, and to look at breaks my heart! So far it has been 3 weeks, (almost 4) and she is in a full leg cast. We are hoping that on Tuesday on her next appointment she will get a shorter cast. But we know she will be in a cast for at least the another 4-6 wks. Poor girl!!! But through it all she has been SO good. She doesn't ever complain (unlike her mother!) and is getting pretty good at getting around in her wheelchair! I have no doubt that she will be doing wheelies in it by the time we are done with the dumb thing!

SCHOOL!
It's back to school! Brinlee started 1st grade on the 22nd, and Taylor starts her 2nd year of Pre-School today! It's been a long 2 weeks for her just being home with boring old mom! (and yes those are red wedges she has on...a girl after my own heart!!!)

Elder Johnson is FINALLY home!!!
Last night Elder Johnson's flight arrived from Taiwan (from Taiwan to San Fransisco to SLC) at 12:15 a.m. It was SO good to see him, even if he spoke Mandarin half the way home! The girls were so sad that they didn't get to go to the airport, so they made him a sign at home that I took with me. They can't wait to see Uncle Blake today!
